These forms of therapy, used alone or in combination with other treatment modalities, encourage the flow of qi to promote balance and harmony within the skin, muscles and organs of body via either finger/hand pressure, cups, or gentle scraping. These therapies can be billed through acupuncture insurance when it is performed by a registered acupuncturist.

Valerie is a Doctor of Acupuncture and a Practitioner of Chinese Medicine, and a Registered Acupuncturist. She also holds a degree in Genetics with a focus in molecular genetics.

Valerie treats a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions with various styles of acupuncture, including Japanese Meridian Acupuncture, as well as herbal medicine, food and nutritional therapy, and other treatment modalities. Her integrative approach blends the ancient wisdom of east Asian medicine with the latest evidence-based research on epigenetics and systems biology. Treatments are individually tailored to help restore balance and to support the body’s innate abilities to heal itself.

Valerie’s focus is on addressing the root causes of illness. Because of this, she has experience working with many different conditions and in a variety of areas of health, including: stress management, trauma, inflammatory conditions, concussion, digestive health, immune system issues, men health, mental health, pain management, wellness support, and women’s health.
